Express Color

Last week, in the MATS e-course, Paisley’s where the main inspiration for Home Decor. You know what a paisley -also called BOTEH- is? I didn’t, until I drew some. Nice forms; I especially like the Indian Woodstamp versions of them.

Also I drew -finally- a CD cover for my man’s superb music. I also experimented with digital coloring. A runner! I still am looking how I can draw more runners, to combine my two passions running and drawing.

Oh, and this weeks the MATS-e-course was about GOATS and children’s books. Not really my thing, to my surprise. I’m not good nor do I like to draw the same character from different angles. Not enough freedom to express. But I gave it a shot – I must admit I ‘stole like an artist’ – the angle is a re-interpretation from one I found on Google. This book won’t ever be published, so I don’t feel too guilty.

An experiment with digital coloring. I drew this runner with chinese ink, then digitally colored it in Photoshop.
